Meta introduced ad-free subscriptions for Facebook and Instagram in Europe. Users can pay up to €12.99 a month for no ads.
This change will affect how ads work on these platforms. In the video below, I discuss what this means and how to deal with it.

You might be familiar with the tips shared in the video or why content marketing matters. But after Meta's news, we're discussing them again to stress their importance.

We've got an exercise for you, too! Make a schedule of your content for the coming month and use our template below to keep track of what you learn.

Step #1:

Utilise ChatGPT and Answerthepublic to generate new topic ideas. Here's a starting prompt to guide you:
"Act as a content creator specialized in [insert specific subject]. Assume my audience is primarily [insert target audience demographic or interest group]. Based on this, suggest 10 engaging content topics that would appeal to my audience's interests and needs. Additionally, provide a brief explanation for each topic on why it would be effective and engaging for my audience."

Step #2:
Review your existing content and identify which pieces received the most engagement, including views, shares, comments, organic visits, etc. Consider creative ways to reformat and repurpose this content.

Step #3:
Share the template with your team and start implementing it.

A few tips before you start

Tip #1: Identify your content pillars

In your content marketing strategy, consider incorporating four essential content pillars to engage and grow your audience effectively:

  • Educate: Share industry insights and knowledge to position your brand as a trusted authority and enhance your audience's understanding.
  • Entertain: Connect with your audience through light-hearted, culturally relevant content like memes, trends, and global events.
  • Promote: Highlight your products or services, showcasing their unique benefits and your brand's perspective in the industry.
  • Inspire: Engage your audience with compelling storytelling and thought leadership that resonates with their aspirations and challenges.

Ensure that 80% of your posts are educational, entertaining, or inspiring while the remaining 20% are promotional.

Tip #2: User-generated content
Incorporate user-generated content and curated content into your strategy. This approach helps reduce the burden of creating all the material by yourself, as it involves sharing content made by your users and selecting relevant content from other sources to present to your audience. This not only diversifies your content but also eases the pressure of constant content creation.
